My son decided he wanted to move and attend Rose Training Australia to continue his schooling. It makes me worried, and sad, to know he will be so far away. Who knows, he might find a job there and stay for a while. But, if it makes him happy, and it works for him, I guess it has to happen. I gotta say, I’m proud of him, for making such a big decision.

This model train coming out of the wall and ceiling reminds me of my grandfather as a kid, he had this same set up, but in his house. I always loved visiting them, for candy and the train!

Think about all of the work it used to take being a railroad guy on a steam train. You needed coal, and a coal man, and all of those valves and levers, it would drive someone nuts! Think about all of the carpal tunnel that would have hit them. Even worse, they didn’t have someplace like Eureka Medical, like I do, and just had to suffer through it. But the thrill of the ride must have been amazing!

I am talking about wagon trains, back in the days of the pioneers and settlers heading west. Long lines of families heading out to start a new life, find riches, or just answer the call to move!

I’m always nervous about buying something online from someplace new. I am afraid of identity theft and everything else that could happen with it. So I wanted to see if anyone has bought any discount sunglasses online from a discount site, because I would like to know how it went. Do they ship quickly, and is the product good quality? I have surprised, especially when I pay money for junk. Thoughts, anyone?

Another 50′s movie, ut I don’t think anyone will mind!

I keep getting emails about getting a membership at Loving Links, a dating website for married people. Really, do they just go through the marriage registry, grab names and search for email addresses? And it is to my personal email, so it clutters my inbox with junk. You know, I am going to have to look at the email and see if there is an opt out somewhere.

I am a train guy, and always will be. But this road right here, is so cool! THis is an underwater deep sea highway, and this would be cool to drive in!

You know, there are still nice people in the world. I was at the local coffee shop grabbing some coffee when I realized I left my wallet at home. AS I went to leave, and man behind me offered to pay for mine, which he did. His name was Enrique Hanabergh Jr, and he was on vacation from Florida. We sat and talked a bit about his work ( plastic surgeon) and I asked him for his address so I could send him some money for the coffee. He insisted it was on him, and it was enough to have company while there. Some people, are just still so amazing!

I’m sure everyone has seen or heard of the Japanese Bullet Trains. I would love to get into the cab of one of these bad boys!

If anyone in the New York area needs a limo service, I recommended Gold Star Limousine Services for the job. I took my wife out for a night on the town, a Broadway play, dinner, etc. I hired this very service, and it was fantastic! The driver was very polite, drove very well and got us everywhere we needed to go, no problems at all. You need the ride to be easy and comfy? You gotta take my word for it then!

The British know what they are doing when it comes to trains, and they have for a long time. DOn’t believe me? Check out this video!

I found an amazing company online, called The Transportation Guy’s, that handle job placement for truckers. I want to get into the railroad business, as a rail driver, but I just don’t know how to. If they could help me out, it would be awesome, but I just don’t think they can help.

Here is a compilation of train crashes, and holy cow, some of these could have easily been avoided. It makes me sad to see thing like that. EVen with these crashes, trains are still one of the safest ways to travel!

My parents threatened once to take the ral estate office that sold them to house to court, and the company settles with them easily. Instead of fixing the roof though, they are going to move again! I mean jeez, you would think after just moving you would be done. But nope, he has had a few talks with Kristin Gwaltney Team real estate in Tennessee, and from the sound of things, that’s where they are headed. Here we go again, I get to help move and set up more stuff. Yay

I am getting the itch to expand my model train, so I think I will do it I mean, why not?

I have worked out at the gym for a while now, and after a certain point I swear I just stopped any growth. It really sucked, cause I was going for just a little more. Then a buddy of mine shot me a link to Crazy Mass, and it doesn’t look that bad. I mean, it’s legal, and that stands for something. I didn’t even notice my friend was using them, so it’s not like he changed dramatically or anything. On top of that, I would be at a low, steady dose, cause I don’t want to get that much bigger.

Another episode of the history of railways, it’s episode three. Man, this show is honestly really good!

Here comes part three of the beautiful, powerful steam engines. Can you tell I am a fan yet?

I tell you what, the day I found Texas Brewing Inc. was the day I started my brewing hobby. When I first started, I did some things wrong, and wasted some stuff. But now that I have it down, It is nothing at all! The hardest part is waiting for it to be done!

That last video I posted, I thought it was only a two part. Nope, it was actually a three. Since I started it, now I have to finish it. So better sit back, get ready for part two, and look forward to part three next!

I knew I should have sealed off the end of the old coal chute. We had an animal crawl into it and die, and it is smelling up the whole house. AS soon as I get it removed, I need to get it closed. I am finding a lot of garbage chute companies, so maybe one of them can help. I called Action Chutes, but they were closed, I figured they would be, it was after 6. Oh well, Guess I get to call back tomorrow, and in the mean time, open every window!

Steam trains always seemed so full of power and hope for me. When you see a steam train, you think the old west, and a completely different kind of life on the edge. I would love the chance to operate one of these! Anyway, this is a two part video, so this is only one of two. The second will be posted soon!

I ordered a hockey stick from Olympus Athletics, and it finally came in the mail. Well, not mail, FedEx, but same thing. I used to really love playing hockey as a kid, and I found out there are leagues down at the hockey rink. So I figure why not go out, humiliate myself being rusty, and have a good time. Bring it on boys!

I told you I would post more of the History of Railways, and now I am! Episode two, right here. I would suggest you save this for a time when you can sit for an hour, cause you won’t be leaving it once you start!
January 11th, 2013
I have a model train set, and I like to think my setup is pretty cool. But sometimes, I get reminded that there is always so much more I could do!
January 10th, 2013
Ok, so not adventuring per se, but I can call it that! I am flying to London, where I am gonna tour train museums, and see the sites. Oh, it is gonna be awesome! Quick question, has anyone ever hired Chigwell Cars? I have been looking through their site and they look like a good taxi option, but I know how the internet can be! Anyone have personal experience?
January 9th, 2013
The start of this video starts out saying trains could be going obsolete, and the idea of that just makes me completely sad. That being said, the advanced train cars are making now should help stop that from happening!
January 8th, 2013
I found out I will have to have taxes done for the engine event I am having. Yay, right? We are only charging enough to make back what we spend on things, but that counts as income and must be filed. I emailed a friend of mine, who works at Libman Tax Strategy about it, and he got me started with what I needed to do. I still have to hire someone local, though. This show though, it is totally worth it!
January 7th, 2013
I found a whole show on the history of railways! Each episode is like an hour long, and it is so cool! I won’t post just this, but I think I will be posting a few more down the road!

I have always had a dream, and that was to have some kind of show every year of different trains, or steam threshers, or something to that effect, with model trains and everything. Well, this year it is gonna happen! I was worried about having to set so much stuff up, get donations figured out, etc. But I found this great company, LaBella Planners, and they are taking care of everything! This is going to be huge!

Now a video from 1955! Called big trains rolling, it is a classic 50′s America video Still doesn’t stop me from enjoying it!

I don’t believe in ghosts, never have. But for some reason, I am starting to change that opinion about my basement. Now, not haunted by something scary, but stuff comes up missing, moves while I’m around, random cold spots appear. A friend of mine suggested the K2 Meter, and told me to try it. I don’t know, I don’t want to get scammed out of my money cause I am being an idiot. I’m gonna have to think about it, anyone have one of these?
January 3rd, 2013
Ah, to have lived during the golden age. Seeing trains whizzing by, hear the whistle calling through the night. I would have loved to have been there for that! This video is actually an old documentary type thing on the railroads, done in the 40′s. Kinda fun to watch something so old like this!
January 2nd, 2013
The roof of my parent’s house fell in last night. How does that happen?? I feel like they would have noticed anything happening with the ceiling, and they just bought the house not too long ago. Shouldn’t it have been inspected before anything was sold? They are looking for a company to do the work, and are debating between Babe Roof, or ACJ Remodeling. Anyone in the New York know anything about either? We would like to make sure they get it fixed up right, and don’t get ripped off. Any input would be awesome!

Welcome to Stop 19 everyone! I myself am a train enthusiast, and I plan on converting everyone else over to it too! So get used to it!
